i’m so glad earth only has one moon, if there were more i’d have to pick a favorite and that sounds too emotionally taxing to even fathom

sometimes

I feel like I’m made of stardust

and southern-style hard iced tea

and the sweet smell of dewy grass underfoot

& I want to go up to every person

I’ve ever met

& I want to tell those people

Why they matter to me

& be sappy and emotional

Because these people we see

In our day-to-day lives or

On visits when they are passing by

Are such a significant part of who we are

Whether we are aware of it or not

Without these people, I would be

A lot less of me than I know me to be

I could be a lot less kind, or less willing

To listen with an open mind

& heart

I could be scared and stuck in a shell

Unable to feel like I’ll know anyone well,

& alone

I could be left with less reasons to live

As each and every person gives purpose

& meaning

To the actions I take and interactions I make

So for that,

Sometimes

I just want to say thank you

& it will all be okay
