what i love about epiphany is that it isn’t this cheap shot at a happy ending about gaining the sudden ability to love oneself. a love for someone so deep it drowned you and became all that you were, you can hear the sadness and heartbreak that still lingers, that will probably always linger, and it hurts, so much. but what hurts even more is realizing that after everything, you don’t know yourself anymore, you’ve lost yourself somewhere along the way. epiphany isn’t just about loving yourself and being happy, it’s about finally realizing you deserve to be loved, for all of your mistakes, for all of your fears and insecurities, for all of your flaws, you deserve to be loved and you deserve to love yourself. so, as scary as it may be, damn if you’re not going to try, try with everything you have, to be brave and begin a new journey of rediscovering yourself and learning to love all that you are and all that you’re not.
