So since pride is coming up, I wanted to make a quick reminder that the cis straights™️ are not allowed at pride.

Pride is only for lgbt+ people. Straight cis people are not allowed to be allies or stand up and support us. It’s just not a thing.

We will actually have gaydars this year, at the entry to pride. There will be a whole security thing you’ve got to go through first. They’re gonna wave you down with queer detectors just to make sure no cis straights get in there.

If you’re a bisexual or pansexual dating the opposite gender and you want to bring your s/o you might as well go home right now. Please do not bring your cis straight friends or significant others to pride. Even if your circle is full of cis straight people and a lot of the people you love and care about and who supported your through your lgbt journey, are cis and straight.

You might offend somebody by appearing to be straight and remember, pride is about making people feel comfortable and accepted and welcome so we just can’t have any of that. Same with like, trans people who might appear cis or really any lgbt+ person who doesn’t appear lgbt+.

Pride isn’t about catering to the cis straights (even if you’re not actually cis and straight and people just assume that you are) so please, no matter how badly you want to support a good cause, just stay home this pride.

I was about to get so angry at OP. It pisses me off so much that there’s actually people who would agree with any part of this
